About Us

E-Agle Trento Racing Team represents the University of Trento in Formula Student competitions, international motorsport championships involving universities from all over the world.

Founded in the summer of 2016 by Professor Paolo Bosetti, the project immediately sparked great interest and enthusiasm. Today, the team is divided into six subunits and consists of over 90 students passionate about the automotive sector, all sharing a single ambitious goal: to build an open-wheel Formula 1-style race car that showcases the potential of innovative solutions enabled by electric propulsion.

Since its foundation, the team's core value — learning by doing — has driven continuous growth. Students gain hands-on experience, applying their knowledge while developing essential cross-disciplinary skills that are invaluable for their future careers. Through collaboration with industry-leading companies in research and development, we enhance technological innovation. For this reason, we are committed to designing and manufacturing as many components as possible in-house, embracing the very essence of Formula Student.

How we operate

Formula Student is a competition designed to challenge students in the design and construction of a race car. We take pride in manufacturing over 90% of our vehicle's components in our own workshop.

Our team operates like a real company, structured into six interdisciplinary subgroups: Dynamics and Modelling, Electronics, Software, Mechanics, Management e Communications Each member reports to their CT (Chief Technician) and PM (Project Manager), who are responsible for coordinating the work of individual divisions and overseeing project management.

We make most of the parts for our vehicles in our workshops
